Your added value:
- Education: completed degree (Master or PhD) in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or a comparable field
- Machine learning: sound knowledge in developing & implementing ML models, e.g. with scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras
- Python & co.: very good programming skills in Python plus experience with Jupyter, SQL, Git, API integrations
- Cloud & deployment: first experience with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure), model deployment & monitoring of models in live operation
- Visualisation & analysis: very good knowledge of data visualisation (e.g. with Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn, Plotly) & exploratory data analysis (EDA)
- Data intuition: a very good feel for data structures, data quality & practical relevance; ideally in the food service or retail environment
- Travel: willingness to work on site in our office from time to time
- Soft skills: curious, responsible team player with a hands-on mentality, analytical thinking & strong self-initiative
- Languages: very good German (min. C1) & good English (min. B2)
Your tasks:
- Model development: You develop machine learning algorithms & prototypes to solve real business problems, e.g. in goods forecasting, revenue analysis or quality assurance.
- Production deployment: You implement your models in our software products, together with our developers & using modern cloud infrastructures.
- Data analysis & feature engineering: You analyse structured & unstructured data sources (e.g. POS, ERP or IoT data) & derive insights & features for models.
- Monitoring & optimisation: You evaluate the performance of your models in production & continuously improve them.
- Research & innovation: You keep up with new trends, algorithms & technologies in data science & bring them into our products.
- Food service domain knowledge (a plus): You develop data-driven solutions related to contract & system catering, e.g. analysing sales data, process times, kitchen logistics or branch comparisons.
