Your added value:
- Education: degree in (business) computer science, data science or a comparable qualification
- Web & backend: excellent knowledge of Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, common frameworks (Spring, Angular/React), REST APIs & web technologies
- Data know-how: extensive experience with data modelling, ETL processes & data analysis (e.g. with SQL, Python/Pandas, Apache Kafka/Spark) plus a deep understanding of data quality & structuring
- AI affinity: basic knowledge or first practical experience with machine learning, NLP or computer vision; ideally in combination with Java or Python
- Visualisation: extensive knowledge of tools such as Power BI, Grafana or D3.js for building dashboards, reports & visual analytics
- Food service know-how (a plus): ideally knowledge of industry-specific processes & data structures, e.g. POS systems, kitchen management, goods flows, HACCP, staff planning
- Cloud & DevOps: several years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure), CI/CD, Docker, GitLab; ideally also container orchestration
- Architectural understanding: very good experience with microservices, interface architectures & possibly data lake or streaming architectures
- Projects: excellent experience in project work & in dealing with customers, strong personal responsibility, structured way of working & pronounced customer focus
- Travel: willingness for occasional on-site assignments (e.g. at customers or in our office)
- Soft skills: structured, proactive team player with a hands-on mentality & enthusiasm for digital innovation in a real-world environment
- Languages: very good German (min. C1) & good English (min. B2)
Your tasks:
- Developing & analysing: You develop sophisticated Java & web applications focusing on structured & unstructured data capture & analysis, especially in the context of food service operations such as system or contract catering.
- Data pipelines: You design & implement ETL processes & develop robust data pipelines, including integration of external data sources & interfaces, e.g. POS, sensors, ERP.
- AI integration: You integrate machine learning models (e.g. for forecasts, classifications or anomaly detection) & support training, deployment & monitoring.
- Data visualisation: You develop dashboards & reports – for customers & management – to present analysis results meaningfully. You always keep an eye on KPIs, time series & branch comparisons.
- Domain understanding in gastronomy: You work with data-driven solutions to optimise processes in system & contract catering, e.g. cost of goods, table occupancy, process times or branch KPIs.
- Collaboration: You work closely with data scientists, AI developers & customer teams on innovative solutions in the gastronomy & food sector.
- Project work: You independently accompany all project phases from requirements analysis through implementation to testing, commissioning & support.
